Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET), Pollachi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guidance Tamil Nadu during the TN Rising Investment Conclave held in Coimbatore on 25 November 2025.
With this agreement, the college becomes the first institution to establish a Technology Centre through this collaboration.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin; T. R. B. Rajaa, Minister for Industries; and Manickam, Chairman of NIA Educational Institutions.
The document was formally received by Subramanian, Secretary of NIA Institutions, and Vijayakumar, Associate Dean – Academics at MCET, from Darez Ahamed, Managing Director of Guidance.
As part of the agreement, a state-of-the-art 600-seat technology hub will be set up at the Arutchelvar Advanced Technology Centre on the MCET campus in Pollachi.
The pioneering facility will be supported by Guidance Tamil Nadu, the state’s investment promotion and single-window facilitation agency under the Department of Industries.
The new centre aims to provide students, researchers, and entrepreneurs with advanced research infrastructure, industrial training, and a strong platform for innovation and product development. The initiative is expected to significantly strengthen Tamil Nadu’s technology ecosystem and enhance opportunities for young innovators.
