Coimbatore Productivity Council (CPC) a non-profit organization set up to serve the requirement of Industrial and other organizations to enhance their productivity, organized Safety Conclave 2026 in Coimbatore on Thursday.

This is the 9th edition of the Safety Conclave and it aims to bring together professionals, leaders, and safety practitioners to share insights, strengthen competencies, and foster a people-cantered approach that drives sustainable safety performance and organizational excellence.

The conclave is organized under the guidance of the Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health – Coimbatore Region on the theme ‘Engage, Educate and Empower People for Safety Excellence’.

S.Sudhakar, President, CPC delivered the welcome address. Arul, Chairman – Safety Conclave gave a brief about the conclave.

Ramesh Chandran Rangaswamy, Director – Technical, Krishnaveni Carbon Products was the Chief Guest, G. Bhavani Scientist-F/Senior Director and Head of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Coimbatore Branch Office was the Guest of Honor of the conclave. Kavidasan,Director- HR, Roots Industries delivered a special address.

CPCP scaled

A safety pledge was taken by all the participants at the event. K.Chitra and Mani Narayanan, Vice Presidents; Sri Priya, Honorary Treasurer; Ravi Kumar, Honorary Secretary, CPC and the councils members also attended the conclave.

“Safety excellence is not achieved by rules alone, but by inspiring people to take ownership and responsibility for safe practices. The theme emphasizes that true safety transformation begins with engaging individuals at all levels, educating them with the right knowledge and skills, and empowering them to make informed and proactive decisions. When employees are actively involved, continuously trained, and confidently supported by leadership, safety evolves from mere compliance to a deeply rooted culture,” the council said.
