Coimbatore Marine College (CMC) celebrated Indian Navy Day, recently under the guidance and support of Chairman C/E S.I Nathan.
The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Sabari Raja, Academic Director; Koushik Gupta, Principal; Rambabu, Vice Principal along with Directors, HODs, staff and cadets.
The celebration featured an array of events, showcasing students’ talents and knowledge on various topics, including the History of the Indian Navy, Indian Navy Weapons, Recent Developments in the Indian Navy and Enhancing Operational Efficiency in Cyber Security.
The celebration reinforces the institution’s commitment to fostering patriotism, discipline, and national pride among its students.
The day’s significance
Navy day is celebrated every year on 4th December to commemorate the Indian Navy’s victory during Operation Trident in 1971. The day honours the bravery and sacrifices of Indian Navy personnel and their families.
