Coimbatore successfully hosted one of India’s most vibrant national-level student innovation platforms, Big Bang 3.0 – The Great Rotary Innovation Challenge, on January 24 and 25, 2026, at the National Model School Campus, Peelamedu.
The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore West, in association with iExplore Foundation and the Atal Innovation Mission, with strong support from leading industry sponsors.

Big Bang 3.0 witnessed an overwhelming response from young innovators across the country, receiving over 700 project submissions from 24 states of India.
Following a rigorous evaluation process, more than 140 outstanding student projects were shortlisted and showcased during the final exhibition and competition.

Students from multiple states participated in this two-day national-level event.
During the event, students presented innovative working models and ideas across diverse domains including science, technology, artificial intelligence, healthcare, sustainability, environment, and social impact, demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and real-world problem-solving abilities.
The inaugural session was graced by Rtn. Chella K. Raghavendran, District Governor of Rotary International District 3206, as the Chief Guest, who encouraged students to use innovation as a tool for societal transformation.

The valedictory session was led by Major General Rajiv Krishnan, VSM (Retd.), former senior officer of the Indian Army, as the Chief Guest, who inspired participants with his address on leadership, discipline, and nation-building.
The event also featured Narayana, Founder and Principal Advisor of Yuktii Insights LLP, and Vignesh Vijayakumar, Founder & CEO of Wealth-i Group of Companies, Dubai, as Guests of Honour. Their presence and interactions provided valuable insights and motivation to the young innovators.
Big Bang 3.0 aimed to nurture scientific thinking, creativity, innovation, leadership, and problem-solving skills among school students. The platform enabled participants to interact with experts, industry leaders, educators, and mentors, encouraging them to move beyond textbooks and build solutions for real-world challenges.
The event featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, interactive workshops, jury evaluations, and student exhibitions.
