The Department of Zoology, diploma in Apiculture at Kongunadu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), in collaboration with Madhurum Honey and Bee Farm, recently organized a sale of various types of honey on campus.
The products included multi-flower honey, forest honey, drumstick flower honey, fig honey, and amla-soaked processed honey.
The stall was inaugurated by Sangeetha, the Principal In-charge of the college. Ananth, Madhurum Natural Honey Farm, Coimbatore; Rajeshkumar, Assistant Professor & Coordinator, Department of Zoology, Diploma in Apiculture and students were also present.
The proprietor of the Madhurum Natural Honey Farm said “Our bees are never fed refined sugar and no chemicals are used in the hives” and he claim that the produced honey is pure honey. He also highlighted the benefits and medicinal importance of honey and how it protects us from various natural calamities.
