The Government High School at Sarkar Samakulam, Kovilpalayam got its laboratory infrastructure augmented via CRS Memorial Endowment. The CR Swaminathan Integrated laboratory Block at the school premises was inaugurated on Thursday by Coimbatore District Collector, Pavankumar.
The project includes a modern Computer Lab, Chemistry Lab, Physics Lab and Biology lab with basic infrastructure and will be a model laboratory Block for the Higher Secondary Schools. The total value of this project is Rs. 1.8 crores.
It was made possible through the CRS Memorial Endowment. It was established in memory of the late C. R. Swaminathan, a renowned educationist.
The inauguration was attended by Krishnapriya, Chief education officer, Coimbatore, CRS Memorial Endowment donors, members of the Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RAAC) including its founder Soundararajan; Balsundharam, Chairman – CRS Memorial Endowment Committee, Balasubramaniyan, President, RAAC; Vimala, Headmistress of the School and C R Swaminathan’s family members.
