Awareness about issues affecting progress of society and individuals is important for everyone to stay vigilant and take countermeasures, when needed.
To generate and share such knowledge among the youth, the United Educational and Social Welfare Trust, Coimbatore is organizing a series of multi-themed awareness exhibitions in various schools and colleges. At the exhibitions, 100+ awareness boards with valuable messages on various social issues are displayed in Tamil and English to create awareness among the student-community.
These exhibitions aim to create awareness on women’s safety and empowerment, child abuse prevention, drug abuse, and cybercrime through various exhibits and interactive sessions.
The 140th edition of the exhibition was held at Corporation Higher Secondary School in Ganapathy on Thursday. It was inaugurated by TN Minister for Backward Classes Welfare, Sampath Kumar in the presence of Radhakrishnan, Secretary of The United Educational and Social Welfare Trust; Sowkathali, Director, Chennai Media and other invited guests.
At the event, the Minister also initiated the Drug-free Tamil Nadu signature campaign by the Trust at the school campus. Volunteers of the Trust explained the messages in the boards to the students.
