The Department of Automobile Engineering at PSG Polytechnic College conducted a guest lecture today on the topic “Recent Trends in Automobile Sound System.”
Mohamed Imran, the first Indian to win the Asian Trophy and Partner of the RM Car Decors, was the chief guest.
During the programme, the office bearers of the department association were announced, and the department’s rank holders were honoured.
College Principal Giriraj delivered the presidential address, appreciating the department for its commendable activities over the years. Addressing the students, he encouraged them to establish their own service stations.
Mohamed Imran, in his address, said, “When I participated in an international competition abroad, I noticed that the Indian flag was not represented, despite India being one of the largest consumers of automobiles and automobile sound systems. That inspired me to achieve something for the country. I dreamed big, and it took me 11 years to realise that dream.
“To participate and to prepare for competitions, I travelled abroad frequently to gain exposure, broaden my vision, and learn about the latest innovations. Innovation is the key to success. I competed against participants from China and other countries and became the first Indian to win the Asian Trophy.
“I encourage students to dream big, work hard, and pursue innovation. If you chase your dreams with determination, you can achieve greater heights.”
