SIP Academy India, organized the TN West Regional level SIP Abacus Prodigy Competition 2024 at Globus Centre in Saravanampatti, recently.
The distinguished Chief Guest for the event was Usharani, Principal, Carmel Garden Public School.
The mega event brought together 1000 SIP Abacus students from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode and Nilgiris. The competition was held in two rounds and the children solved 300 mathematical problems in 11 minutes covering Abacus, multiplication and visual arithmetic sums.
Speaking to the press and media, Ravi Shankar, State President of SIP Abacus said that learning an abacus at a young age helps kids develop numerous skills that are not just limited to arithmetic abilities but concentration, memory power and listening too.
The Chief Guest, Usha Rani said that when such kind of learning becomes fun, students can crack any kind of aptitude test. This platform will help them to learn, play, enjoy and become logically sound.
This was the 7th edition of the event. The earlier year’s national events have achieved 4 LIMCA books of records for the size and pattern of the competition held in India and internationally.
The parents of 1000 students were present to witness this massive competition along with SIP Abacus India employees. A total of over 3000 people attended the function.
