LEAD Group, a school learning systems company, recently concluded the Coimbatore Regional Round of the National Championships 2025, a platform aimed at providing students from small towns and emerging cities an opportunity to participate at a larger level.
The event brought together around 1,200 students, teachers, school leaders, and parents from LEAD-powered schools across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. This was the seventh edition of the National Championships organised by LEAD Group.

This year, the regional rounds were conducted in students’ own cities, allowing greater participation and access. Students from Nursery to Grade 9 took part in various activities, including presentations, performances, problem-solving tasks, and project showcases, with many participating in an on-stage event for the first time.
The National Championships 2025 include categories such as Li’l Champs for Nursery to Class 2; Math Champs, English Quiz Champs, and Speech Champs for junior and senior levels; Coding Champs for Classes 3 to 8; and Science Champs for Classes 3 to 9.

Sumeet Mehta, CEO and Co-Founder of LEAD Group, said that one of the key gaps in school education today is confidence rather than ability. He noted that while many students understand concepts well, they often lack opportunities to present their ideas, speak in public, or perform on a larger platform.
He said the National Championships were created to address this gap by providing students with a national platform where learning is combined with confidence and preparation is linked to real-world exposure. Referring to the Coimbatore regional round of the National Championships 2025, he said students participated with clarity and confidence, reinforcing the belief that children respond positively when given the right opportunities.

The regional rounds serve as a qualifying stage for the National Championships 2025 and offer students an opportunity to showcase their skills ahead of the national-level finale.
