Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) hosted a significant event on October 10, 2025, in collaboration with NJ India Invest.
The event featured a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony and an on-campus placement drive, marking a crucial step in strengthening industry- academia collaboration.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including Valarmathi, Director of VIMS, and Pradeep, Senior Manager – HR, NJ India Invest.
During the event, Valarmathi delivered a presidential address, expressing her gratitude to NJ India Invest for providing an internship and placement opportunities to the students.
She emphasised the importance of students’ performance during their internship period, highlighting that it can significantly impact their future placement prospects.
Following the address, Pradeep delivered a special presentation titled “Career Opportunity in the Mutual Fund Industry.” The session covered essential topics such as the basics of saving and investment, the power of compounding, Indian household savings patterns, mutual funds as an investment product, and the future of the mutual fund industry.
The presentation provided valuable insights into the industry and highlighted potential career opportunities for students.
The event concluded with a pre-placement presentation, where the company provided detailed information about its operations, job descriptions, and recruitment procedures.
The session aimed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the company and the roles they would be filling.
