The Department of Biotechnology at PSG College of Technology, as part of its Platinum Jubilee, organised a two-day international conference on Advances in Molecular Medicine and Multi-Omics Technology (ICAMMT 2025) on 19th and 20th September 2025.

The conference deliberated on developments in precision and personalised medicine, paving the way for the next generation of therapeutics.

In the inaugural session, the conference proceedings were released by Prakasan, principal of the college, along with Ananthasubramanian, head of the department; the speaker, Sachdev Sidhu from Simisco Biosciences and Anvil Institute for Systems Biologics, Canada; and Vidhyalakshmi, associate professor of the department.

The speakers of the conference included Ron Geyer from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada; Shane Miersch from Simisco Biologics East; Ramchand from MagGenome Labs, Chennai; and Radhakrishna Rao, professor, Department of Physiology, University of Tennessee, USA.

Other speakers were Arun Bandyopadhyay, director, Gujarat Biotechnology University, India; Vinod Scaria, chief data officer, Karkinos Healthcare, India; Romsha Kumar, senior application specialist – Single Cell Multi-Omics, BD Lifesciences – Biosciences India/Spurh Asia; Sachdev Sidhu, CEO, Simisco Biosciences and Anvil Institute for Systems Biologics, Toronto, Canada; and Nithya Baburajendran, head of Protein Structure and Biophysics, Experimental Drug Development Centre, Singapore.

Raju Rhee, director, Kerala Genome Data Centre, and Krishna Kumar Kandaswamy, chief technical officer, Centogene, Germany, were also among the speakers.
