Nirmala College for Women celebrated its 41st Graduation Day in a grand ceremony recently, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its students.
Rev. Sr. Dr. Mary Fabiola, Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering and underscored the importance of graduation as a defining chapter in every student’s life. She also emphasised the value of practical skills in complementing academic learning and introduced the distinguished chief guest.
The event was presided over by Christopher Abraham, CEO and Head of the Dubai Campus, and Director of Executive Education at the SP Jain School of Global Management.
In his address, Abraham urged the graduates to pursue excellence with courage, integrity, and persistence. He encouraged them to lead change, build connections, and make a positive impact on society, drawing inspiration from notable figures such as Rosa Parks, Wangari Maathai, Indra Nooyi, and Arunima Sinha.
Rev. Sr. Kulandai Therese, Secretary of the college, felicitated the graduates and reiterated the importance of continuous learning to elevate educational standards.
A total of 790 graduates received their degrees, including three rank holders and gold medallists.
The ceremony concluded with a symbolic lamp-lighting by the rank holders, representing the transition from darkness to the light of success.
