Hindusthan Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, organised the AICTE–ATAL Six-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Quantum Computing for Revolutionising the Future of Medicine” from 10th to 15th November 2025.
It provided a platform for faculty members, researchers, and professionals to gain deep insights into emerging quantum technologies and their applications in the medical domain.
Throughout the six days, participants engaged in a series of expert sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive discussions delivered by renowned resource persons from academia and industry.
The sessions covered a wide range of themes, including quantum algorithms, quantum data processing, quantum machine learning, quantum cryptography in healthcare, and the emerging role of quantum computing in drug discovery and medical diagnostics.
The valedictory function was held in the presence of the chief guest, distinguished academicians, faculty members, and participants.
During the session, participants expressed that the programme significantly enhanced their understanding of quantum technologies and equipped them with the knowledge to integrate these advanced concepts into teaching and research.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the coordinator, Ramasamy.
