PSG Institutions, in collaboration with the Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF), Coimbatore Chapter, hosted a Student Job Fair at the PSG Tech campus on 5th April 2025.
Jayakumar Ramdass, Managing Director, Mahendra Pumps Pvt Ltd., was the chief guest, and Natarajan, Placement Coordinator, PSG College of Technology, and Muthukumar, Past National Hon. Secretary, were the guests of honour.
In his address, the chief guest shared insights about the current status of core companies and the job vacancies available within them. He urged students to stay with the same company for several years to gain more knowledge.
The job fair saw the participation of 23 foundry industries, which recruited students. Approximately 400 students attended the event. To be noted, this idea was initiated by L Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions and Veluswami, Chairman, IIF Coimbatore Chapter.
Sivaprakash, Vice-chairman, IIF Coimbatore Chapter, welcomed the gathering. Arasu, Head of the Department, Diploma in Foundry Technology, PSG Polytechnic College and Hari Viswanathan, Hon. Secretary, IIF Coimbatore Chapter, graced the occasion.
The event provided an important platform for students from various engineering, polytechnic, and arts and science colleges to connect with potential employers in the foundry industry.
